JURNAL PALOPO - On April 20, 2023, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG, Indonesia) reported that there would be a Hybrid Solar Eclipse. So as Muslims, what should we do? The following is Rasulullah Muhammad's advice when an Eclipse occurs.
Several hadiths narrate that there are several things that we as Muslims must do when a Solar Eclipse occurs according to the advice of Rasulullah Muhammad SAW.
One of the suggestions from Rasulullah Muhammad SAW that we must do when a Solar Eclipse occurs is to perform Eclipse prayers.
The recommendation to carry out this Eclipse prayer is narrated in Al-Bukhari Hadith No. 3204, 3201, 1057, Muslim No. 911, 914 and several other hadiths.

The Eclipse prayer itself is a sunnah prayer which in history was recommended by Rasulullah Muhammad SAW to be carried out when an Eclipse phenomenon occurs.
The intention of the Eclipse Prayer is as follows.
أُصَلِّي سُنَّةَ الخُسُوفِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ إِمَامً/مَأمُومًا لله تَعَالَى
